Being part of the family, Mark started in 1984, riding his bicycle from Boise High School to Designs West, which was then located on Glenwood. His job was to simply sort freight and hardware in our warehouse. That summer he assisted a freelance installer and by fall, Designs West Interiors had its' own van and fulltime installer. Mark says, "I've been putting holes in customers' walls ever since, and they always welcome me back."

Mark says his favorite part of his work - by the time he does his part in a home, the construction is finished, the customer has often settled in, and he gets to put the frosting on the cake. So for Mark, every job is a "Parade of Home".

Along with being our Master Installer, Mark says his other tasks include "everything". He cuts the boards needed for valances, repairs blinds, runs the hyster, oversees the maintenance on the building - including lighting and sprinkler care, he even carries the heavy 50 yard rolls of drapery lining into the workroom... just to name a few things.
